five guillemot apartments

Guillemots lay large, oblong eggs, each with distinct and beautiful markings recognizable to the parents. The eggs are oblong and conical so they won't roll straight off their rocky cliff shelf/home. This cliff "community" of eggs reminded me of condominiums or apartments. Classic crayon drawing and tusche washes on stone, hand-printed in black ink on Arches cotton cover 7 ½ W x 5 ½ H inches. Edition of ten on cotton with ten trial proofs on varied papers. Each unframed $75
