silk painting demo at "stars" quilt show

Here are some photos of dye-painting silk at this fall's Washington Stars Quilt Guild's amazing quilt show "Dancing With The Stars."

...here working dark to light...establishing dark colors first...later to push them around with lighter colors.

Water-based, non-toxic dyes...so much COLOR in this small box!

"Dee Dee Song" came to be during a painting demonstration. Here the colors are still migrating as they dry.
