impressions of 2009
continued from journal...
musically and spiritually...
…I enjoyed creating music for Jesse & Jen’s wedding in AK, for two amazing events in Tukwila, an Ignite event in Tenino, also Tenino’s tree-lighting “Winter Wonderland” (rocked!), two trips to NC for art collaboration and prayer retreats in the Appalachian Mountains, and I led musical prayer for a large conference in AK – beautiful! miraculous!
After about seven years of long hair, summer of '09 must have been just a little too hot...and I cut my locks off. Here is a self-portrait in the mirror in August.
Notice a silk painting of a waterfall in the background...also new in 2009. And I also remodeled my home-studio in '08 and '09 so the green paint is also new.
amazing...
...that all this and more could happen in one year. I’m grateful for these opportunities and for many wonderful experiences in art and life in 2009.
This world we live in is not always kind. It's a world at war - on many levels.
My hope is that in 2010, I will be so very alive to live generously, doing what I can.
Thanks to all who have supported me in life and the arts.
All the best to you in this upcoming year!
Steve
